SHADOW FACTORY

Stage Production
February 2018
January 2019 (remount)
NST City Southampton, UK

Shadow Factory, written by Howard Brenton, tells the remarkable and little-known story of the role Southamptom played in building Spitfires for the Battle of Britain.

Through a combination of projection, sound, movement, and a new deployment of TAIT Towers’ Nano Winches, 59 Production’s design was able to illustrate the concept of flight onstage, to describe architectural locations, and to represent the devastation of WW2.
